The rough draft of my front cover ancillary. The Main picture and most of the text needs adjusting and neatening up in photoshop.

Ancilliary piece - Billboard
This is the rough idea for my final Billboard piece, I think the text may need to be changed but overall it fits well with the conventions of soap billboards, as shown in Q2.

Planning evidence - Billboard Ancilliary
Final Ideas for Billboard ancillary, both pictures work well for the conventions of a billboard, but the text in the middle of the Billboard would challenge conventions. Both main characters are shown and there is ample room for adding text and branding.

Soap Trailer rough cut
The rough cut and first draft of my trailer.
Audience feedback -
Audio ducking - The dialouge in some parts is drowned out by the music, needs ducking. (Fixed)
Shaky camera - At 1:48 the camera jerks as it pans so it looks un-professional (Fixed)
Ending - No titlecard and does not follow conventions of normal soaps by ending with the channel card that shows the name of soap & time it's on (Fixed)

Planning evidence - Front cover ancillary
I have decided on this as my picture for the front cover, the background will be either a grey or black shade to mimic the downbeat nature of the show and the character featured. I am trying to replicate the style of the following cover for TV & Satellite week in the way the character engages the audience and the layout of other articles around the page.

Planning evidence - Magazine cover Ancillery planning
This is the main plan for the ancilliary front cover, I have researched the style that I'm going to use for my cover, TV & Sattelite week. this style would match the type of soap, which is more serious than a usual soap. This classier style of magazine would match and compliment the soaps style. As evident I have planned out the places of my characters on the covers as well as the placing of the straps, banners and other magazine conventions.

Planning evidence - Script (1/2)
Here is the planning for the script that took place over facebook, though this is the mostly the dialouge that was used, we did change some on the day of filming to suit the style and attitude of the trailer.

Planning evidence - storyboard sketch (scene 2)
This was the rough sketch composed by the group to illustrate the basic layout of what would turn out to be the scene where Jack and Katie argue about social services having taken their child. changes were made to the camera placing and some of the dialogue but mostly remained the same.
Planning evidence - storyboard sketch (scene 3)
This is the sketched storyboard for the break up scene, this is the scene that changed the most, we were planning on shooting somewhere completely different than illustrated on the scan, but we though the bench on which the scene was shot looked better for the genre than a car park. the final shot in the storyboard also changed, the idea of the car was discarded, as was some of the dialogue.
Planning evidence - Shooting schedule (3/4)
The shooting schedule for the main conflict scene, outlining the different shot types and action the characters are to perform.
Planning evidence - Shooting schedule (4/4)
The shooting script for the phonebox/office conversation, basically kept the same shooting ideas as this was one of the first scenes we discussed in depth.
Planning evidence - Shooting schedule (1/4)
The shooting script for the first half of the break up scene, outlines shot types and movements of characters, the actual scene was vastly different to this.
Planning evidence - Shooting schedule (2/4)
The general outline of the entire trailer, including the shots we would begin and end with including the slamming down of the phone that formed the end of the trailer. character names / locations included.
Planning evidence - Front cover sketch
A very rough sketch of the Front cover ancillary, the image we have actually used is different to the plan, instead of two figures on the front cover, I have opted to use a single medium close up of one of the characters, to mimic a more conventional higher class magazine.
Planning evidence - storyboard sketch (scene 1)
The first and most in-depth storyboard for the Phonebox scene, dialogue, shot types and location are all noted and mapped out in detail. The end product does stray from this as we changed the location to make the schedule more manageable, but mostly this is the storyboard we used to map out our final product.

Planning evidence - First ideas for story lines with sample dialogue
Very early idea for the 3 story lines, evidently the dialogue changed quite a bit but the general story lines stayed similar.
