Ancillary piece - Billboard poster (Final) Q3) w/Audience feedback

This is my final ancillary piece, the billboard poster. Reviewed and evaluated alongside in question 2 of the evaluation.
Q3) Audience Feedback
  • The background works with the style of the show, presenting the audience with the setting from the trailer, showing familiarity and common themes and ideas across the products.
  • The tagline shows the themes from the show and keeps the audience intrigued. Audience interest is generated by using key words like Blackmail, Lies, Deciet & Nightmare.
  • The ITV branding is consistent and obvious for the audience.
  • The coloured boxes around the tagline and title of the show look slightly unprofessional and not like a conventional poster.
  • The poster does not follow usual conventions, having the text down the middle of the image is not usually seen in posters. but it works well in splitting up the image and the background.
  • The minimalist approach to the poster works well in showing the audience a metaphor for distance, lonliness and isolation. themes of the show.
  • The inclusion of the two main characters from the main storyline generates familiarity for the audience who have seen the trailer.
  • The costumes stick with the style established by the trailer and show class & age of the characters.
  • The poster isn't overcluttered with text and makes it easy for the audience to pick up on the main themes quickly and easily.
  • The way the stars interact with the camera and are performing is consistent to the personalities set out in the trailer & represents the attitude and tone of the show.
